OUTDOOR MINI-LEAGUE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Jul. 10, 2020

As of Outdoor 2020, we will be using RAMP as our website platform and registration system.

Please note that each team contact will need to create a profile in order to be able to register a team. You will use that same profile to register as a player, as well as for future SAS tournaments and seasons registrations.

Before you register/join a team, it is important to understand the guidelines that we are following. The Saskatchewan Soccer Association (SSA) has developed a Return To Soccer Plan (RTSP) and we are currently in Phase 3 of the Return to Play. This allows us to offer game formats of up to 7v7, creating Mini-Leagues of 50 people. As per the Provincial Sport and Activities Guidelines, the 50-person maximum per mini-league includes coaches, participants from multiple teams, officials who cannot maintain two metres of distancing from others at all times.

This unfortunately means that if a team has a non playing coach, in order to be allowed on the field of play, said coach would need to be included in the roster limitations mentioned below.

Phase 1 - Return to Train (No contact)

Phase 2 - Return to Train (Minimal Contact)

Phase 3 - Return to Play (Increased Contact)

Phase 4 - Return to Play (Full Contact)

Individual Training

Social Distancing measures are in place Technical Based Activities

*Opposition may be created utilizing individuals from within same household or family bubble.

Designated “Team/Group” Based Training

Social Distancing measures are being relaxed

Small Group Activities

*Activities should be created where contact is avoidable as much as possible.

*Consider using individuals from within same household or extended family bubble in the same group/team(ideal).

Club based Play

Social Distancing measures are relaxed further

Intro of Small Game Formats (3v3 to 7v7)

Mini Leagues of 50 can be formed.

Open Play

Social Distancing measures are removed

All Game Formats (1v1 -

11v11)

Phase 3 allows us to offer actual Game Formats, with increased contact from what was allowed during the previous two phases. It's important to note that Mini-League games will not be the Full Contact game you may be used to. Full Contact games can't only begin during Phase 4 of SSA's RTSP.

We've all been away from the beautiful game that we love and we simply want to offer a safe return to the pitch for all our members.

Mini-League Rules to acknowledge before you register a team:

  • No headers
  • No slide tackles
  • No Offsides
  • Roster Limit of 12
  • Substitutions on the fly
  • Kick-ins instead of Throw-ins
  • Players can only play on ONE team
  • No Permits
  • No Player Transfer
  • No Playoffs
  • No Reschedule requests

Given the Provincial limitation of 50 in a mini-league, we will be creating pools of 4 teams within each Division. Each team will play each other twice.

It's important to note that 2 out of the 50 spots in that mini-league "bubble" are reserved for Match Officials.

New Team Bond: 0$

This is why, there will be no new Team Bond required for the Outdoor 2020 Mini-League Season.

We are NOT accepting Team Fees by credit or debit in the office or over the phone.

Registration Requirements

Incomplete entries are not accepted. Registrations must have all the required forms filled out, include full payment of the initial 500$ instalment and be submitted before the registration deadline to avoid late registration penalties.

Individual Registration Payments

Individual Player Registration is to be done online. Team Contacts will be able to send players a direct link to pay their registration and add themselves onto the 12 player roster.

Alignment

Due to the short timeline and season, there will be no ability to appeal. Divisions will be put together by the office staff and Board of Directors. The final alignment will be release by Friday July 24th.

Team Withdrawal Penalties

Penalties will not be charged to teams that withdraw their registration by Monday, July 20th at 5:00pm. Our usual schedule of penalties will be in effect if a team withdraws from a SAS league after July 20th:

1 - 7 calendar days after: Refund Fees Except for Fine of $100
8 - 14 calendar days after: Refund Fees Except for Fine of 25% of total fees
15 - 21 calendar days: Refund Fees Except for Fine of 50% of total fees
22 or more days: No refund

League Fees

League fees cover the following costs: Field Rental, Administrative Costs and Referee Fees.  Individual Player Registration is no longer included in league fees and must be paid separately by each player when they register online. Please visit the League Fees page for full details.

Starting Outdoor 2020, we will be using RAMP as our website platform and registration system.
Please note that each team contact will need to create a profile in order to be able to register a team. You will use that same profile to register as a player, as well as for future SAS tournaments and seasons.

League Start Date

The approximate start date for the 2020 Outdoor Mini-League Season is August 3, 2020.
League games will be played on Statutory Holidays and long weekends for the mini-league. The dates are Monday August 3, and the weekend of Friday September 4-Monday September 7.

Individual Player Registration

Individual Player Registration will open after divisions have been set and teams have been accepted. The team contacts will receive more information to forward to their players once we have placed the teams into a division.

All individuals playing in the 2020 Outdoor Mini-League Season will be required to register themselves online and must pay their Individual Player Registration fee before they will appear on a roster. This season, the cost for each player’s registration is $12.50. That payment can be made at the time of registering via Credit Card or E-Transfer through RAMP.

Please go to the Individual Player Registration page to register or for additional information.

Playoffs

There will be no playoffs at the end of the 2020 Outdoor Mini-League Season

Reschedules

Given the format and short length of our programming, there will be no reschedule requests available for teams this season.

Game Sheets

BOTH teams are responsible for printing the game sheets for each game.
For Contact Tracing purposes, Each Team Contact is required to sign and submit a picture of the game sheet after each game to confirm their players' attendance.
The picture can be e-mailed to: office@saskatoonadultsoccer.com

The game sheets can be found on our website on the schedule page. Games will be overturned, and teams will be fined if they play ineligible players.

Permit Players

No permits of any kind allowed during the 2020 Outdoor Mini-League Season.

Scheduled Nights of Play

SAS cannot confirm what nights each division will be playing on until the schedule is finalized. Often, we are able to keep divisions on the same nights that they played on in past seasons, but it is NOT a guarantee. Below is a breakdown of what nights each division should play this coming season:

Coed: Friday/Saturday

M2: Sunday, Wednesday*
M3: Sunday, Thursday*

W4: Sunday, Monday*

ID Cards and Clinics

A Player ID Card or a Canadian Government issued photo I.D. is required at every game to play, and the card name must match the registration name. ID Cards need to be shown to the referee before every game. You will not be allowed to play without a player ID card or Canadian Government issued photo I.D.

ID Cards no longer expire, and new cards will not have an expiration date on them. The expiration dates on older cards will simply be ignored. It is, however, each player’s responsibility to update their card if it is worn out or if the picture no longer resembles them.

Age Minimum

You must be at least fifteen years of age before you can participate in any SAS sanctioned games.

Communication

You must provide accurate email addresses for team contacts. If you have not received any emails from our office by the time Final Alignment is released, then you need to contact SAS to make sure that the correct email address is being used.

Also, please be sure to “opt-in” to emails. If you do not, Ramp automatically adds you to the unsubscribed list, and therefore you will not receive our emails.

Mini-League Fields

All Games will be played on the Saskatoon Soccer Center (SSCI) Outdoor Turf fields.

Equipment Box Keys

With all games being played on SSCI fields, there will be no set up require before games, therefore no need for an equipment box key deposit!
