The JUST FOR KICKS (JFK) Tournament is COED ONLY.

The Just for Kicks tournament was established in 1995. This coed only recreational adult tournament is a celebration of soccer. JFK is meant to be a fun and social way for men and women to enjoy the game of soccer together. It's not meant to be overly competitive but instead a good time all while playing soccer. Unsportsmanlike or potentially dangerous play will not be tolerated. Officials have been instructed to call the game very strictly. Referees will err on the side of calling too much as to prevent injury and to uphold the spirit of the game. After all, it is JUST FOR KICKS!

Just for Kicks Location is at the Saskatoon Kinsmen / Henk Ruys Soccer Centre.

All games will be played on rubber tile quarter fields at the boarded centre.

All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. Format is at the discretion of the scheduler. 

Limited space is available for this tournament; therefore teams will be accepted on a first come, first served basis within each division.

We will avoid divisions with 5 or 7 teams. Payment must be made, and registration submitted for your registration to be considered complete and included in the queue.

Teams are NOT guaranteed placement in the tournament even with submitted full payment and registration. Refunds will be issued when applicable.

REGISTRATION MAY CLOSE EARLY IF WE REACH CAPACITY.

The division selection on the application/registration form is just to give SAS a general idea of where you think your team fits, and does not necessarily reflect the division you will be placed.

SAS reserves the right to move teams from their selected division in order to create divisions that have a sufficient number of teams. We will take your roster into consideration in order to create a sufficient division.

Teams cannot appeal the alignment.

RECOMMENDED DIVISIONS FOR TEAMS / PLAYERS

The following recommendations are based on players current registered in SAS leagues where applicable as below:

• Coed A (Div 1 & 2)

• Coed B (Div 3 & 4)

• Coed C (Div 5 & 6)

• Coed D (Div 7)

• Coed Masters Rec A (Men 35+ and Women 30+)

PLAYER/TEAM PERSONNEL - PHOTO ID REQUIRED

Photo identification (ID) is required by ALL participants and will be checked by the official prior to EVERY game.

Players and Team Personnel must therefore possess a valid form of Canadian issued photo identification. SAS Player ID Cards are permitted. A Canadian issued Driver’s Licence that has been hole punched due to having expired is also permitted. A picture of a Photo ID is not acceptable.

Players that do not have photo ID will not be permitted to play.

PLAYER NUMBERS / TEAM PERSONNEL IDENTIFICATION

Every player MUST have a number on their jersey. Tape is permitted if necessary. Duplicate numbers are not permitted.

Team Personnel also must be identifiable to be permitted to stay on the bench.

INDIVIDUAL PLAYER REGISTRATION

The Just for Kicks Tournament is sanctioned, and therefore all participants (players, team personnel etc.) must be registered with the Saskatchewan Soccer Association (or their given provincial association) by way of a Member Organization such as Saskatoon Adult Soccer (SAS). Only participants that are registered can be on the bench, and they must be at least 15* years of age.

*SYS registered players cannot participate in the Just For Kicks tournament.

*Players under 18 cannot participate unless they were registered on a SAS league team prior to the last business day of February.

Players are only allowed to play for one team in the tournament.

All participants will need to add themselves to their team with the Team Code or Link provided to you by your Team Contact.

• PLAYERS CURRENTLY NOT REGISTERED - JFK

The $45 fee is non-refundable. Refunds will NOT be given.

DEADLINE FOR PARTICIPANTS TO REGISTER IS

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12 at 4:00pm.

NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE BEYOND THIS DATE/TIME.

SUSPENDED PLAYERS

Participants currently serving a suspension may request permission to attend the tournament UNLESS it is a suspension for Violent Conduct (VC).

Participants serving VC suspensions cannot participate and cannot be on the field of play or bench. They also cannot register as Team Personnel.

Blacklisted participants also cannot partake unless their outstanding fees are paid. Inquiries can also be sent to the info email address.

JUST FOR KICKS PRIZE

Just for Kicks has offered the same prize since its inception in 1995 and people vie for those JFK t-shirts.

The tournament is intended to be JUST FOR KICKS - to have fun and wrap up the season together. The t-shirt prize is a visual bragging right and bonus to the enjoyment of the weekend.

Note: While roster size has increased to 25, prizes will be capped at 20 per team in an effort to keep costs down.
