The Free Agent Permit Pass is intended for new players that would like to join the league but do not have a connection to a team. They also provide a permit player option for teams that occasionally need players.
Fees & Process
The fee is $50 + PST and would include the $40 Individual Player Registration fee, along with a $10 administrative fee. (NON-REFUNDABLE)
[Team Code:47c98]
Once players purchase a pass, they will be included in the permit e-mail list and, like all permit requests, players are responsible to reach out to that specific team contact when they are interested and available to play.
Free Agent Players could permit an unlimited number of times (maximum of 5-games per team), with any team that needs permit players, and in any league provided that they meet the age eligibility for specific leagues: Masters & Legends.
Requirements
All participants must register through the RAMP registration platform.
All participants must have photo ID, shin pads, and proper footwear. See Free Agent Check List for full details.
Further details on the Individual Player Registration can be found under the given seasons heading: Outdoor or Indoor.
Payment can be made online through RAMP or by e-transfer to info@saskatoonadultsoccer.com. Please specify in the notes you are a Free Agent.
Details
ONLY for players that haven't played on a team since Indoor 2021-21. (If you played in one of the last 2 seasons you are not eligible. Outdoor 2022 or indoor 2021-2022. Free Agents that didn't register to a team are eligible to return as Free Agents.)
The Permit pass can only be purchased once a season and can only be used for regular season games.
Permits from the pass are transferable. If a Free Agent player finds a team, the accumulated 5 per team permit limit carries over.
Free Agents can be added to game sheets in pen while marking FAP beside their name.
Discipline
As registered members, Free Agents will abide by SAS’ Discipline Policy:
Yellow Cards
YC accumulations are attached to the player, regardless of the number of different leagues partaken in.
If a free agent receives 3 yellow cards by their 3rd or 4th game, they will lose their 5th
If the 3rd YC is received during the 5th permit game, the player will need to sit out their first official game on their new team or start with 4 permits in the next Free Agent play.
Red Cards
Violent conduct offenses will not be tolerated and will result in the loss of all 5 permits. Suspension will then need to be served once registered on an official team.
All other red card offenses will be examined by SAS and could result in either a reduction or loss of permits.
