Saskatoon Adult Soccer Inc.
(formerly Saskatoon and District Soccer Association)
Saskatoon Adult Soccer (SAS) is the FIFA/CSA/SSA sanctioned adult soccer league found in Saskatoon, SK. Our league is governed by a board of directors, and has three full time staff members.
The objects of the Association are: to promote, foster, develop, and govern the game of soccer, both indoor and outdoor, and to take such steps as deemed necessary or advisable for preventing infringements of the rules of the game, or other improper methods and practices in the game, and for protecting it from abuse.
Our league office can be found at the SaskTel Sports Centre - South side, facing the outdoor turf fields. Please see the contact us page for mailing, phone and email information.
We offer an indoor season to our members, and of course, an outdoor season. Our outdoor season follows the IFAB/FIFA Laws of the Game. Our indoor game also follows these rules, however we have also added some additional rules for the indoor play. For example, the number of playes for the Indoor Boarded game is 6v6 (including goal keepers), and is played on a rubber tile field roughly a quarter the size of an outdoor field.
The outdoor season typically starts the week prior to Victoria Day weekend, and ends mid-September.
The indoor season typically starts the week prior to Thanksgiving weekend, and ends mid-April.
The outdoor season includes Men's, Women's, Masters (Men's Over 35 & Women's Over 35), Coed, Coed Masters (also Over 35), and Over 50 (Men's & Women's) league.
The indoor seasoon includes a Boarded league for Men's, Women's and Coed, and a half-field Turf league for our Men's and Women's leagues. Our Masters league is split between the boarded league and half-field turf league. We also hold a quarter-field turf league for Coed Masters and Over 50. The Coed leagues play on Fridays and/or Saturdays, where as the other leagues play all other days of the week.
