Board Nominations

Saskatoon Adult Soccer Inc. holds their Annual General Meeting (AGM) in December of each year. Notice is sent to our members with the exact date once it is determined. A call for Nominations is also sent to the membership.

The SAS Board of Directors consist of fifteen (15) Directors, including President, Vice President, Finance Director, and up to twelve (12) Directors as selected by the membership.

We have a vibrant soccer community and are seeking qualified candidates to play a role in the stewardship of our organization that reflect such values as engagement, transparency, and accountability.

Candidates will have the skill-set, expertise and experience necessary to further the vision and priorities of Saskatoon Adult Soccer Inc and lead us to a legacy of success on and off the playing field.

Specific areas of expertise that SAS is looking to include are finance, law, governance, strategic planning and risk assessment.

DISQUALIFICATIONS FOR NOMINATIONS

1. Teams/Players that have not paid their fees.

2. No employee of any soccer league, association or zone (excluding SDSRAI referees) shall be eligible on behalf of a team on the Board of Directors.

3. No team or club shall have more than three (3) voting members on the Board of Directors at any one time.

PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATION

The position of President is only attained after serving as a director of SAS for two (2) years at a minimum and directly prior to nomination as President.

NOMINATION PROCESS

1. Nominations may be submitted to the Executive Director at executivedirector@saskatoonadultsoccer.com.

2. Nominations must be seconded.

3. A person cannot nominate themselves.

4. The nomination deadline is by 4:00pm November 15 each year. For 2025, it is Saturday, November 15.

5. Consent to let their name stand is required by all nominees by November 30 each year. For 2025, it is Sunday, November 30.
