All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. Format is at the discretion of the scheduler.

Limited space is available for this tournament; therefore teams will be accepted on a first come, first served basis within each division

We will not host divisions with less than 4 teams nor divisions with 5 teams.

The division selection on the application/registration form is just to give SAS a general idea of where you think your team fits, and does not necessarily reflect the division you will be placed.

Eligibility Restrictions for Teams and Players Entering this Tournament

The following restrictions are based on players current registration in SAS leagues where applicable as below:

  • Men's Rec A (no restrictions)

  • Men's Rec B (Maximum of three M1 players per team allowed)

  • Men's Rec C (ONLY players from M4 and lower)

  • Men's Masters Rec (ONLY male players aged 35 and over)

  • Men's Legends (ONLY male players aged 50 and over)

  • Women's Rec A (no restrictions)

  • Women's Rec B (Maximum of three W1 players per team allowed)

  • Women's Rec C (ONLY W4, WM players allowed)

  • Women's Masters Rec (ONLY female players aged 30 and over)

  • Women's Legends (ONLY female players aged 45 and over)

  • Coed A (~Div 1)

  • Coed B (~Div 2-3)

  • Coed C (~Div 3-5)

  • Coed D (~Div 5-6)

  • Coed Masters (Males aged 35 and older and Women aged 30 and older)

*Teams will be added to another division if there are not enough teams entered to create a sufficient division. (I.e. Men's Legends to Men's Masters, Master's Women to Women's Rec C). These teams will also have the option of withdrawing from the tournament.

**Coed Divisions - these are recommendations for which division you should enter your SAS team. SAS reserves the right to move teams from their selected division in order to create divisions that have a sufficient number of teams. We will take your roster into consideration in order to create a sufficient division.

Individual Player Registration

The January Chills Tournament is sanctioned, and therefore all players must be registered with the Saskatchewan Soccer Association (or their given provincial association) by way of a Member Organization such as Saskatoon Adult Soccer (SAS).

If you are already registered with SAS, you will need to add yourself to your team's roster, but you will not be prompted to pay the $42.40 again.

If you are already registered in Saskatchewan (but not Saskatoon), you do not have to pay to register with SAS. However, you will need to provide us with information as to where you are currently registered. See details below under SK Registered Players. This includes SYS players as well.

If you are already registered through a provincial body that is a member of CSA, you are required to submit a travel permit. See details below for Out of Province Players/Teams.

Players not presently registered in Saskatoon (or Saskatchewan) will be required to register and pay the $42.40 Individual Player Registration fee. The $42.40 fee is non-refundable.

If you would like to play again this season in another tournament or join a league team you will not have to pay the fee again. Note: Some exceptions may apply for non-SAS tournaments/league play.

The indoor season runs from October - April.
The outdoor season runs from May - September.

All players will need to add themselves to their team with the Team Code or Link provided to you by your Team Contact.

ALL PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED ON TO THE TEAM! DEADLINE FOR PLAYERS TO REGISTER IS MONDAY, JANUARY 23 at 5:00pm.

Saskatchewan Registered Players

If a player is registered elsewhere in the province with a Member Organization (MO) of SSA (i.e.: SYS, PAYSA, FCR etc.) you do not need to pay the Individual Player Registration Fee again. However, we do need confirmation of that you are in good standing and currently registered.

You will also need to add yourself to your team's roster the same as SAS registered players and unregistered players. Please add "Cash" as the form of payment. It is also up to you to have your home association to contact us with your confirmation of registration and good standing.

The MO can send the confirmation of good standing and registration to info@saskatoonadultsoccer.com.

Out of Province Players/Teams

Players/Teams must receive approval from their district and provincial associations to travel/play out of province.

Please visit your given association's website for additional details to Team Travel Permits, Guest Player Permits (also called Temporary Registration or Individual Travel Permit - Out of Province) etc.
