We are excited to return to play! However, despite the ease of the government's restrictions, the 2nd session of the SAS league will remain the same as the 1st outdoor session. This includes half field play, rosters of 12, and players limited to 1 team.
The reason for continuing to implement these protocols is because we have seen restrictions tighten and loosen, and do not want to diminish our league mid-season if a new variant arises, vaccinations are delayed, what-have-you. We also believe the Team Contacts will struggle to field a full team during this transition period. Players may also find it difficult to play on a full field. (The COVID-19lbs may still be lingering!) It also remains consistent with our 1st session for Outdoor 2021. Therefore, a team in the 1st session can easily sign up for the 2nd session.
There are TWO CHANGES for 2nd Session:
1. NO games on Fridays and Saturdays. This includes Coed!
League fees cover the following costs: Administration, Field Rentals and Referee Fees.
Individual Player Registration is not included in league fees and must be paid separately by each player when they registering themselves online prior to their first game.
As of Outdoor 2020, we have been using RAMP as our website platform and registration system.
Please note that each team contact will need to have a profile to be able to register a team. You will use that same profile to register as a player, as well as for future SAS tournaments and seasons.
Return to Soccer Plan (RTSP)
Before you register/join a team, it is important to understand the guidelines that we are following. The Saskatchewan Soccer Association (SSA) and SAS have developed a Return To Soccer Plan (RTSP) and we are in Phase 3 of the Return to Play. Phase 3 allows us to offer game formats of up to 7v7, creating Mini-Leagues of 50 people.
As per the Provincial Sport and Activities Guidelines, the 50-person maximum per mini-league includes coaches, participants from multiple teams, officials who cannot always maintain two metres of distancing from others.
This means that if a team has a non playing coach, in order to be allowed on the field of play, said coach would need to either be included in the roster limitations mentioned below or wear a mask at all times and maintain 3 meter distance from players. Also, a coach cannot be in a bubble elsewhere in the league. (I.e.: Coach one team and play on another, coach two teams etc.)
The 2021 Outdoor season will be offered as 2 separate sessions:
1st Session from May 14 - June 30, 2021
(Team Registration for 1st Session is now closed.)
2nd Session from July 9 - September 15, 2021
WE ARE ACCEPTING TEAM REGISTRATIONS FOR THE 2nd SESSION!

All leagues will play 7v7 format on a half field with 25-minutes halves with 12 players per roster.
The divisions/pools will be with teams of 4 at most, and occasionally of 3 teams only.
This is dependent on the teams that enter each division. Please be aware that your team may be put in a division with only 2 other teams for your 6 game session.

All Divisions/Leagues Total = $900
Instalment schedule: At the time of registration: $500, July 30 $400

Given the new team limitations we all need to abide by, we understand that the guidelines do not make things easy.
Therefore, New Team Bonds are not required for the Outdoor 2021 Mini-League Season.
Team Withdrawal Penalties
Penalties will not be charged to teams that withdraw their registration by Wednesday, June 23 at 5:00pm.
Our usual schedule of penalties during COVID pandemic will be in effect if a team withdraws from a SAS league after this deadline:

We are NOT accepting Team Fees by credit or debit in the office or over the phone. Nor are we able to receive cheques for payment.
However, due to the pandemic, we will be accepting E-transfers instead of cash and cheques.
We are accepting payment through RAMP for team fees.
There are options to pay in full at the time of registration or by two instalments.
Registration Requirements
Incomplete entries are not accepted. Registrations must have all the required forms filled out, include full payment of the initial $500 instalment, and be submitted before the registration deadline to avoid late registration penalties.
You will receive a confirmation email of your registration. Be sure to watch for it to confirm your registration.
Alignment
Due to the short timeline and season, there will be no ability to appeal. Divisions will be put together by the office staff and Board of Directors.
The final alignment will be released by 5:00pm Friday, June 25.
Please contact the office or include a note in your registration form if you are selecting a division unusual from your norm.
