Soccer Days in Saskatchewan

Hello SAS Members,

Sask Soccer invites all players to participate in a fun Soccer Day in Saskatchewan taking place on Saturday, August 21 in Saskatoon, SK at the Saskatoon Sports Centre on Nelson Road.

They have organized the day to try and maximize participation so people and groups will have a reason to stick around and either participate or watch. Please see below for a series of fun opportunities to take part in as well as registration information.

3v3 Grassroots World Cup Festival  (U9 - U13)

• When: Sat Aug 21 - 10am to 12:30pm
• Where: Saskatoon Sports Centre, 150 Nelson Road
• Cost: $15
• Who: Boys and Girls U9, U11, U13
• Roster: Min 4 and max 6 per team
• Prizes: All participants receive a Swag Bag
• Divisions: 4 team capacity within each age/gender group 

Soccer Tennis Tournament (U9 - U17)

• When: Sat Aug 21 - 1pm to 5pm
• Where: Saskatoon Sports Centre, 150 Nelson Road
• Cost: $10
• Who: Boys and Girls U9, U11, U13, U15, U17
• Roster: Min 2 and max 3 per team
• Prizes: All participants receive a Swag Bag (if they haven't already); Grassroots U9, U11, U13 Festival Format; Youth U15, U17 prizes for the winners
• Divisions: 4 team capacity within each age/gender group

Skills Competition (U9 - U17 and Adult)

• When: Sat Aug 21 - 1pm to 5pm
• Where: Saskatoon Sports Centre, 150 Nelson Road
• Cost: free
• Who: Boys and Girls for U9, U11, U13, U15, U17, Adult Men's and Women's
• Prizes: to be won for how well the participant does at each skills event

Adult 7v7 World Cup (Age 15+)

• When: Sat Aug 21 - 1pm to 7pm
• Where: Saskatoon Sports Centre, 150 Nelson Road
• Cost: $75
• Who: Anyone over 15 years of age can participate so potentially some of the older players can make a team
• Roster: Min 9 and max 14 per team
• Prizes: for winning team
• Games: approximately 3 games of 2x20 Mins
• Divisions: Men's Open, Men's Rec, Women's Open, Women's Rec, Women's Legends (30+), Men's Masters (35+) -- 4 team capacity per division

Adult Walking Soccer (Age 18+)

• When: Sat Aug 21 - 10am-12pm 
• Where: Saskatoon Sports Centre, 150 Nelson Road
• Cost: free
• Who: Anyone 18+; It would be great to see more parents try out Walking Soccer! Maybe even some board members and coaches!
• Roster: Min 6 and max 10 per team 
• Divisions: Coed - Max 8 teams
