Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

      1. I’m an individual player looking for a team to join. How do I find a team?

  • We have a Google spreadsheet set up for players and teams to post on when they are looking a team to join or additional players for their team. Please go to our Players Looking for a Team page (under the JOINING SAS heading) for more information.

  • You can also sign up with our Free Agent Permit Pass. This includes you in on the Player Permit emails to teams and you can try out different leagues. There is a charge though. For details see the Free Agent Permit Pass page also found under the Joining SAS heading.

      2. I’m a Team Contact / Manager looking for more players. How do I find players?

  • We have a Google spreadsheet set up for teams to post on when they are looking for additional players for their team. Please go to our Teams Looking for Players page (under the JOINING SAS heading) for more information.

 3. How do I register for a second team?

  • The same as you register for your first team except click off 2nd Team when registering for a 2nd team, 3rd team for a 3rd team etc.

  • The team contact needs to send you the Team Code or the Registration link. The packages are linked so you will not need to pay a second (or third etc.) time but you do need to select the box specifying what additional number of team you are registering on as mentioned above.

  • For steps, please see the Individual Player Registration Guide.

      4. When is the player addition deadline?

  • Players may register up to the last day of regular league play. However, any players that register after the last business day in February for indoor and the last business day in July for outdoor will not be able to partake in Playoffs.

  • For any specific dates in each season please see the Dates & Deadlines section under the given season: Indoor Dates & Deadlines or Outdoor Dates & Deadlines.

      5. My team needs to reschedule a game. What is the process for this?

  • Teams must fill out a Reschedule Request form that is found under the Forms menu heading. Teams are only allowed to submit one reschedule request per season. This fee must accompany the request form or the request will not be considered.

       6. What are the rules for permitting players?

  • You can find permitting rules in the SAS Rules. The Indoor and Outdoor rules have been amalgamated into one so be sure you are checking the right season's permits.

      7. When are playoffs?

  • Playoffs are held after the last game of the season has been played. For specific dates in each season please see the Dates & Deadlines section under the given season: Indoor Dates & Deadlines or Outdoor Dates & Deadlines.

  • Playoffs are not held for the Legends and Co-ed divisions.

      8. Can I play a soccer game without a Saskatoon Soccer Player ID card?

  • Yes, but a form of photo ID is always required. We now accept Canadian Government issued Photo ID. However, we still recommend that you obtain a Saskatoon Soccer Player ID Card. Unfortunately, Player ID Cards get lost. It's not as bad to lose a Player ID Card than it is a Driver's License or Passport.

  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen Player ID Cards or Government Issued Photo IDs.

      9. How do I print off game sheets?

  • Under the Game section of your division, click on PRINT under Game Sheet heading.

  • Games sheets will be supplied by the office for the indoor season. For outdoor, the teams will need to supply the game sheets for all grass fields. The office will print them for the turf fields and leave them with admissions.

      10. Can I pay for my registration fee/blacklist fee/ID card over the phone? What type of payments do you accept? To whom do I send them?

  • We cannot accept payments of any kind over the phone.

  • We NO LONGER accept cheques, Debit or Credit (Visa, Mastercard) at the office. We only accept cash at the office.

  • We NO LONGER accept e-transfers for Individual Player Registration fees.

  • Individual Player Registration fees can be paid by credit through your RAMP account or you can come to the office to pay by cash:

  • E-transfer payments are only accepted for Team, Blacklist, Reschedule or Delayed Payment Request fees and can be sent to executivedirector@saskatoonadultsoccer.com with the password: soccer

      11. Can I transfer teams? If so, how?

  • Yes, a player can make 2 transfers per season. Confirmation from the team contacts is required before you can play a game with the new team. See the Transfer/Release section of our Rules and Regulations for complete details. We do require the request in writing, so please send requests to our Operations Coordinator at admin@saskatoonadultsoccer.com.

  • We have two Transfer Deadlines each season. Please check the Dates & Deadlines page for specific. (One deadline is to transfer down, and the other is to transfer up/across.)

  • Players are not able to transfer back to their original team once they have left. They would need to wait until the next season to return.

      12. Can I have an extension on paying my team fees?

      13. Who do I contact regarding game stats? Or team fees? Volunteering?

14. I hurt myself, what insurance do I have through the league?

  • You need to go through the Saskatchewan Soccer Association to put in an insurance claim:
