Notice of our AGM

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

6:00pm on Thursday, December 12^th, 2024

LOCATION

Saskatoon Kinsmen Henk Ruys Soccer Centre

219 Primrose Drive in Saskatoon, SK S7K SE4

This is the time to express your concerns to the board of directors and staff regarding the direction the association.

Please have your team represented at the meeting.

VOTING

Each senior affiliated team in good standing will be given one vote for each Indoor 2023-2024 team and each Outdoor 2024 team registered with the SAS. (Only one vote is granted per person in attendance).

All fees must be paid to be classified as a member in “good standing".  New participants that are currently registered shall have a voice but no vote.

REGISTRATION

To attend, please register by 4:00pm on Monday, December 9, 2024, by emailing executivedirector@saskatoonadultsoccer.com.

Your registration must be received by the deadline and include the following to be considered complete:

1. Voting Delegates Name

2. Voting Delegates Email Address

3.  Team Name

4. One specific season pertaining to this fiscal year end:

   i. Indoor 2023-2024; or:

   ii. Outdoor 2024

Voting delegates must have been registered to the team during one of the above seasons to be eligible to vote and they may not represent a team for more than one season or represent more than one team. (Only one vote per delegate.)

Participants may still attend but cannot vote if registration requirements are not met.

NOMINEES

Eight (8) positions were open for election this year: President (2-year term), six (6) director positions (2-year terms) and one (1) director position (1-year term). The nomination deadline is October 15 annually.

Current Directors Standing for Election:

Ray Hassan, Erin Hopkins, Sue Mack-Klinger, Thomas Oakes, Stephan Simon      

Candidates from the Membership:

Brandon Boyle, Jonathan Shendruk, Dylan Swidzinski

Our President, Sheldon Mathies, will not seek reelection. Thank you, Sheldon, for your dedication to Saskatoon Adult Soccer! You've had a lasting impact!

Acclamation

Erin Hopkins was the only nominee that agreed to let her name stand for the role of President. As such, Erin is our new President by acclamation! Thank you, Erin, for stepping into this new role.

Ray Hassan returns in the 1-year term position by acclamation. Thank you, Ray!

Sue Mack-Klinger, Thomas Oakes, Stephan Simon, Brandon Boyle, Jonathan Shendruk and Dylan Swidzinski will serve as directors for the 2-year terms.
