FUTSAL Start to Play

We are happy to announce the Futsal Start to Play (FSTP) Clinic kicking off in the New Year!

The collaboration with Saskatoon Futsal League (SFL) began this fall with a strong SFL Competitive Division 1. There was not enough interest from the recreational side of Futsal to host a Rec Division 2. As such, to help facilitate a rec division for next indoor season, we are offering a Futsal Start to Play Program with 4 sessions starting in January!

REGISTRATION DEADLINE

The participant registration deadline is extended to Wednesday, January 21 at 4pm.

This is FIRST COME FIRST SERVE for 20 participants!

AIM

The aim is to offer a consistent time dedicated to futsal for players to learn the rules and experience the game through scrimmages.

It's intended for any new futsal players that might be interested in playing futsal that aren't currently registered in the SFL division.

COST

The Futsal Start to Play fee is $100 for participants that are not already registered in the Saskatoon Adult Soccer (SAS) league as this includes the Individual Player Registration (IPR) $45 fee.

The fee is $55 for those players already playing with SAS that paid the IPR fee this indoor 2025-2026 season.

SESSIONS

There will be 4 sessions per program with 1-2 match officials per scrimmage.

DATES

The first session intended dates will be:

• January 18

• January 25

• February 8

• February 22

• March 1

These dates may change.

*must be registered by noon on Friday, January 16 to participate in the Jan 18 session.

CAPACITY

The program is first come first serve to the first 20 men and first 20 women.

Any additional participants will be waitlisted.

If the interest is strong, we will host a second session once the first is completed to the waitlisted individuals from the first session.

FIELD SIZE, TIME & LOCATION

All sessions will take place at the Saskatoon Sports Centre on Family Focus from 5:00pm - 6:50pm.

Family Focus will be split into 2 fields: one Men's and one Women's.

REQUIREMENTS

All participants must be registered in the SAS FSTP program and in good standing to partake.

Indoor shoes, shin pads, and both a white and dark shirt with a distinct number each week.

Numbers will be assigned based registration order.
